Shop Floor Client – Smart Factory Glossary

A shop floor client is software that provides the user interface of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES). MPDV uses the term shop floor client for the software, which is usually browser-based and runs on PCs or mobile devices. However, a client can also be a type of hardware.
